Anfora 2009: Impacto Magico Company from Matanzas Wins Grand Prix

Las Tunas, Nov 26, (ACN).- The Impacto Magico Company from Matanzas was awarded the Grand Prix in the 15th Anfora Magic Festival, held in this city, for their show ‘Happiness’. 

The company was also ranked first for children’s shows. Its director, Chaikel Espinosa, was the winner in the Big Illusions category.

While in the Small Illusions section, Eralis Estévez of Havana was the award winner. 

Yordan Arias from the Huracan Magico Company of this province won the laurels in the Close up Magic category.  While Jose Rafael from the province of Santiago de Cuba came first in Magic with Cards. And, Gilberto Baez from the province of Matanzas won the prizes for both General and Comic Magic. 

The prize for manipulation was given to Miguel Romero of Holguin. And, the best female performance was for Damaris Peña from Matanzas. 

The main representatives of magic and illusions in Cuba, as well as representatives of companies from other regions of the world performed during the six days the Anfora Magic Festival 2009.
