Message of the Cuban Five to
the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC)
On
the 50th anniversary of the creation of the
Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) and after
analyzing the importance of the role played by
women throughout our history of hard struggles,
an accurate and profound thought by our National
Heroe Jose Marti comes to my mind: "... when the
woman shudders and helps ... the fulfillment is
invincible."

Visiting
Gerardo in Prison
We talked about
Cuba. He kept up on the news, reading, watching TV - and
from visitors who informed him. He felt encouraged by steps
President Raul Castro had taken to deal with the crisis. He
had watched, on the prison television, parts of Fidel’s
speech and the questions and answers at the Cuban National
Assembly Meeting. "I saw Adriana [his wife]," who sat in the
audience. His smile faded. |

is Really Unfair that the Cuban Five are Still
in Prison
California.— Some hours before the deserved
homage for her 80th birthday, Dolores
Huerta, recognized civil rights activist, was
asked about the possibilities that
the five Cuban
heroes— antiterrorist fighters unjustly
imprisoned in US jails— be freed. |
