Agreements of the National Assembly of People’s Power

Taking into account that: Gerardo Hernández  Nordelo, Ramón Labañino Salazar, Fernando Gonzáles Llort , René González Sehwerert, and  Antonio Guerrero Rodríguez have dedicately fulfilled exemplarily, honourably, and firmly the sacred misión of defending their homeland by protecting it against terrorism, running risks for their lives, and bearing enormous sacrifices in a hostile, aggressive, and corrupt environment.

Taking into account: that they were able to infiltrate and have access to numerous activities of inveterate terrorists who operate in impunity in the territory of the United States, that they discovered criminal plots and warned our country to avoid possible deaths and damages to the Cuban people, as well as the dangers that such actions imply for the U.S. people.

Taking into account that they were taken prisoners while they were carrying out such a noble and generous work, they have suffered inhumane jail conditions, including several months of solitary confinement, they have been slandered, they were the objective of an arbitrary process in an environment where justice an equity are impossible, and it is  intended without any legal or moral argument, as they have not committed any crime, to impose irrational and immeasurable  sentences, which underscore the monstrosity that is been committed against them.

Taking into account their profound, bright, and irrefutable defense statements, expounded with clarity and entirety after the fake trail consummated, will be registered in history as unsurpassable testimonies personal courage, intelligence and dignity.

Taking into account that their exemplary conduct constitutes an extraordinary deed that credits them the highest recognition and the gratitude of the Cuban people.

Therefore, the National Assembly of People’s Power agrees to:

1. Award the order of  Heroe of the Republic of Cuba to Gerardo Hernández Nordelo, Ramón Labañino Salazar, Fernando González Llort, René González Sehwerert and Antonio Guerrero Rodríguez.
