FIVE CUBAN POLITICAL PRISONERS IN THE UNITED STATES

INNOCENT

Gerardo Hernández Nordelo, Fernando González Llort, Antonio Guerrero Rodríguez, Ramón Labañino Salazar and René González Sehwerert did not commit any of the crimes for which they were judged and trialed. In fact, it was impossible to prove the charges.

They did not spy on the army, nor did they attempt against U.S. national security. Their mission was to protect the Cuban citizens’  lives and possessions by timely  informing as to plans of   terrorist attacks organized by counterrevolutionary groups in Miami.

The sentences--Gerardo ( two life sentences plus 15 years) Ramón (a life sentence  plus 18 years), and  Antonio (a life sentence plus ten years)-- are absurd, no human being is able to serve them.

They are not criminals, they did not infringe U.S. laws. They are victims of the revenge and frustration of anti-Cuban mafia, who have been unable to stop the advances of the people of the island, or prevent solidarity from growing inside the United States.
