FIVE CUBAN POLITICAL PRISONERS IN THE UNITED STATES

SOLIDARITY

Latin American Social Forum in Australia in solidarity with the Cuban 5

Declaration

In view of the latest actions and hearings of the Atlanta Court against: Antonio Guerrero, Ramón Labañino and Fernando González; we express before the national and international public our complete condemnation and repulsion at the decisions imposed to renew the sentences of the five Cuban Antiterrorists who have been in U.S. prisons since 12 September 1998, accused of being terrorists and for espionage 'against' the U.S.; unfounded accusations that the five Cuban heros have during court processes declared themselves completely innocent of all pressed charges..

With all the misleading advertising and legal farse and the violation of the most basic of human rights against the five Cuban Antiterrorists, we point to these as evidence of the perversity and deliberate and shameful actions by the U.S. represented by Barack Obama with his new title as a Nobel Peace Prize Winner 2009, who is offering to reduce the sentences if the five Cubans declared themselves guilty of being a supposed committee of espionage and terrorism they are accused of.

The response of the five heros has been clear and firm from the first moment, without accepting any blackmails, favours, or gifts.

The five Cubans, from the moment of their arrests up to the present, have remained firm, principled and integral, exercising the sacred principles of  transparency, honour, and defence of the revolutionary principles and values.

The delay tactics that the Atlanta Appeals Court executed, were done with the political objective of attempting to use the desperation and break the revolutionary moral of the five Cubans; for instance Gerardo Hernández is sentenced to serve two life sentences and more than fifteen years in prison, before this crime against humanity, Gerardo has remained in struggle demonstrating his loyalty and innocence. This judicial crime, the corruption declared by the courts who have known about the cases, remain spuriously before the eyes of the international community and the respectful peoples who recognise these national and international judicial processes as being true promotors of the human rights violations.

In view of observation of the unjust processes against the declared integrity and innocence ratified by the five Cuban heros.

We Condemn:

1. Directly, the U.S. President and 2009 Nobel Peace Prize Winner BARACK OBAMA, whose actions has demonstrated clearly as a complete violator of human rights.
2. Directly, the U.S. Governmet for protecting the most wanted terrorist of the American continent from judicial processes LUIS POSADA CARRILES who lives freely in the city of Miami, preparing together with the U.S. Intelligence services CIA and Cuban mercenaries, plots and attacks against the Cuban people and their authorities respectively.
3. The economic blockade and the imprisonment of the five heros, is nothing but an unprecedented political attack against the values and goals of the Cuban people of having constructed a society free of interventionism, independent, sovereign and revolutionary.

We declare ourselves in solidarity:

A. With the five Cuban antiterrorist heros, their families and their people..
B. From Australia we continue developing actions and activities advocating for the liberty of the five Cubans..
C. RENE GONZALEZ, RAMON LABAÑINO, GERARDO HERNANDEZ, ANTONIO GUERRERO and FERNANDO GONZALEZ; we reiterate to you our complete and permanent solidarity until the day are returned to your homes with your families and with your people who has never stopped believing in your innocence and loyalty to the principles that makes Cuba the example of latinamerican liberty.

The prior condenatory declaration against the government of Barack Obama, as a violator of the human rights of the Five Heros, is also our posture of solidarity from Australia.
