Freedom for
the Cuban Five Demanded in Kenya
Nairobi, Jan 9, (RHC).-
The Kenya-Cuba Friendship Society demanded the
immediate and unconditional release of the five
Cuban anti-terrorist fighters imprisoned in the
US since 1998.
The
communiqué published also demanded the end of
the economic, commercial and financial blockade
the US has maintained against Cuba for the last
48 years, which has been repeatedly condemned at
United Nations since 1992.
The
Kenyan solidarity organization urges the people
and human rights institutions in that country to
increase their traditional support to Cuba this
year.
The
communiqué advocates for respect of sovereignty
and self-determination. It also encourages
people to sign it in order to send it to US
President Obama.
