Las Tunas.- The   Antonio Guiteras colossus, in the municipality of Puerto Padre, is reaffirmed as the largest producer of sugar in Cuba, exceeding the 64,373 tons manufactured in this harvest by the Uruguay sugar mill, in the central province of Sancti Spíritus.
