Hugo Chavez Concluded Working Visit to Cuba

HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 21, (acn).- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez concluded a working visit to Cuba on Saturday and he was seen off by President Raul Castro at Havana's Jose Marti Airport.

Upon his arrival in Cuba on Friday evening, President Chavez held a first meeting with Fidel Castro, with whom he met again on Saturday. Chaves also met with Raul Castro. Those meetings focused on the fruitful relations between both nations in different fields.  Other issues addressed included the international situation, particularly the global economic crisis and its impact on Latin American and Caribbean countries.

Chavez was accompanied by Venezuela's Foreign Minister Nicolas Maduro, Energy and Oil Minister and President of PDVSA oil enterprise Rafael Ramirez; Minister of the Presidency Luis Reyes and PDVSA President Asdrubal Chavez.

Also at the airport in Havana were vice-president of the Cuban Council of Ministers Ricardo Cabrisas and Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation Minister Rodrigo Malmierca.
