VILLA CLARA .-
The leadership of the country can be confident, the young
people will not allow the Revolution to be lost, said
Liudmila Alamo Duenas, first secretary of the UJC National
Committee, speaking at the Ninth Congress Assembly chaired
by Politiburo member and First Vice President of the
Councils of State and Ministers, Jose Ramon Machado Ventura,
and Olga Lidia Tapia, a member of the Central Committee
Secretariat.
Among the most
debated topics was the role of militancy in savings in the
health sector and food production. Yaidel Sotuyo Leon,
secretary of the base committee of the Augustus Caesar
Sandino Farming Cooperative, explained how the young people
are the spark plug on his estate and are inspiring the rest
of the group.
The assembly
elected Dilky Ponce Expósito as the new first secretary of
the Provincial Committee.
ARGUMENTS ON
HOW TO DEFEND OUR WORK
CAMAGUEY .- "We
reaffirm, once again, complete trust in the youth, which in
the midst of a fierce ideological confrontation has been
able to not only withstand, but to support the revolution,"
said Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, member of the Politburo and
First Vice President of the Councils of State and Ministers,
speaking in the 9th Congress of the UJC.
The discussion
by the 300 youth delegates to the meeting made an analysis
of still unresolved issues such as the care and training of
militants entering the professional work of the UJC.
Arguments are
the extras to defend the revolutionary, said Yoandri Ruiz
Villalon, delegate from Santa Cruz del Sur, giving the
example of his village, which after being hit hard by
Hurricane Paloma, is resurfacing more beautiful and
functional.
Jorge Enrique
Sutil Sarabia was ratified as the first secretary of the
organization in the province.
