President of Belarusian Parliament Meets with Cuban Ambassador

Minsk, Nov 9, (RHC).— The president of the Belarusian Parliament, Vladimir Andreichenko met on Monday in Minsk with the Cuban ambassador to Belarus Alfredo Nieves Portuondo and discussed parliamentary relations between both nations.

During the meeting both sides also discussed ways of increasing cooperation between both national assemblies in particular increase political, economic and commercial contacts in addition to maintaining coordination in multilateral issues.

Nieves Portuondo thanks the support of the Belarusian parliament in condemning Washington´s economic blockade against Cuba and in demanding the release of the Cuban Five unjustly imprisoned in the US for fighting terrorism.

Later, the Cuban ambassador participated in solidarity with Cuba activity, sponsored by the Belarusian Parliament.
