France Voices Support
to Zelaya

Several groups and solidarity organizations, the French
Communist Party (PCF), diplomats and the elected
representative of Ile de France Regional Council renewed
their support to Honduras Constitutional President Manuel
Zelaya.
During an encounter held at Robespierre Hall, Ivry-sur-Seine,
in the outskirts of Paris, participants demanded the
immediate reinstatement of Honduras constitutional leader,
and also condemned the actions of the putschists.
Head of International Relations of the Democratic Unity
Party, Honduran deputy Silvia Ayala, and member of the
Feminist Movement in Resistance Melba Reyes, among others,
spoke during the gathering.
The delegation of the Central American nation met with PCF
Senators in Paris, demanding to send to the government of
Nicolas Sarkozy an updated report on the situation in
Honduras.
International pressure on the de-facto regime must comtinue,
the European Union cannot recognize the de-facto regime or
new elections if coup leaders continue in power and the
world must know the repression that is taking place in our
nation, they demanded. |
