Lazaro Bruzon Leads Moncada Chess Tournament

Cuban GM Lázaro Bruzón leads with 3,5 points the international chess tournament held in Santiago de Cuba.

According to the source, Bruzón (2 617 Elo points ) accumulates two victories and three ties, to keep the leadership of the Elite Group.

Bruzón is followed by Cubans Yuri González (GM), Humberto Blanco(FM), Omar Almeida (GM) and Bacallao, they all with three units.

On the other hand, in the Open Group Juan Carlos Obregón (MF) from Las Tunas, goes first with 3,5 points of four possible.

In this tournament participate chess players from Argentina , Mexico , Denmark , Ecuador , El Salvador , Brazil , Guatemala and Italy . It will finish next May 25th.
