Cuba is characterized by an impressive biodiversity

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Monday welcomed the International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB), a date celebrated in Cuba with challenges and commitments to protect biodiversity.

Havana, Cuba.- On Twitter, the Cuban leader praised his country as characterized by impressive biodiversity figures including the existence of 1,500 species of butterflies, over 60 species of amphibians, 150 reptiles, nearly 400 birds, and over 7,000 plants.
