
Almost 500 friends from 23 countries, including the United States, have confirmed their attendance at the act of solidarity with Cuba, which will be held at the Giraldo Córdova Cardín sports center in Ciego de Ávila, on the morning of July 25.
Ciego de Ávila.- According to Tania María Companioni Olivares, delegate of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) in the province, the number of attendees is one of the largest received in Cuba for the occasion. It confirms the response of the broad international movement of solidarity with the Island, which has more than 1,700 organizations in 153 countries.
She affirmed that several solidarity projects will be present, among them the Venceremos brigades from the U.S., the José Martí Cultural Association, and a European brigade that also bears the name of Cuba's Apostle. (Granma)
