The average number of daily infections in Cuba is 9,125.Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel urged a collective effort to confront the high incidence of COVID-19 in the country.

Havana, Cuba.- The President recalled on Twitter that "there is health personnel working round the clock for days, and full-time government structures are in the battle."
"Only with everyone's effort, we will win," reiterated the Cuban head of State in his message.

Díaz-Canel pointed out that this week is decisive to reverse the complex epidemiological situation in the Caribbean nation.

According to the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), the average number of daily infections is 9,125. In the same period last month, it was 6,464.

For this reason, Cuban health authorities anticipate an epidemiologically complex August, although the immunization process in the Caribbean country continues at a good pace.

Almost 11 million doses of the Soberana 02 vaccine candidate and the Abdala vaccine have been administered on the island through health intervention mechanisms, intervention studies, and clinical trials.

CUBA REPORTS 93 DEATHS AND 8,936 CASES OF COVID-19

The national director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Francisco Durán, reported on Tuesday 93 deaths and 8,936 new Covid-19 infections during the last 24 hours.

The island now accumulates 475,105 cases and 3608 deaths since the beginning of the disease in the nation.

During his usual TV briefing, the specialist informed that there were 46,054 confirmed patients hospitalized as of midnight.

The provinces with the most infections were Havana with 1734, Cienfuegos with 1686, and Ciego de Avila with 998. (RHC)
