Buenos Aires.- During an event at the Cuban diplomatic mission in Buenos Aires, members of the Union of Cuban Residents in Argentina (URCA) reviewed the results of the work in these six months by several stockholders from that community in events held in several parts of the country, where they proudly took the roots and traditions that distinguish the citizens from the Caribbean island.
URCA President Adonis Torres made a brief summary of the praiseworthy work done so far this year by several residents at such meetings as the Mabaire Festival in Rosario, and mentioned the great reception to the exhibition by the Cuban painter Juan Miranda on Cuban National Hero José Martí, which was successfully held at the Senate of Buenos Aires province.
He thanked those who made it possible that a giant replica of the emblematic olive green cap that Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro always wore was sent to Havana on a Cubana de Aviación flight, as a result of the support from Cuban residents and the Argentinean Solidarity with Cuba Movement(MasCuba).
Cuban Ambassador to Argentina Orestes Perez praised URCA's work and the support from all compatriots who have always accompanied us in several events. (PL)
