Spokeswoman of Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zajarova

The German ambassador in Moscow should clearly explain his Foreign Ministry's position towards Germany's stance with the conflict in Ukraine, said the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

Moscow.- According to the diplomat, the German ambassador must explain the dichotomy of what the Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock, meant when she said that Berlin, along with other countries, is at war with Russia, even though the Ministry itself does not consider Germany part of the conflict.

The German Foreign Ministry stated previously that supporting Ukraine does not make the country a party to the conflict.

This is how the Russian Foreign Ministry reacted to Baerbock’s statements at the meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe PACE in Strasbourg, where she stated that “Germany is already at war with Russia." (PL)
