Fostering the housing contruction is a priority for EMAC Las Tunas.

With the implementation of many strategies, the Las Tunas Maintenance and Construction Company (EMAC) has launched the Housing Program in the province and is today, the main protagonist in these works.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- During the visit in May of Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Party and President of the Republic, the need to propose solutions to this problem was raised; in response, the directors of EMAC offered a project of strategic lines, which achieves favorable results.

Engineer Pablo Enrique Paneque Almaguer, director of the entity, explained that "the company is fulfilling the plan at 107 percent, with 59 houses at the end of April. We achieved this by resuming the completion of housing poles, some of which remained paralyzed due to delays in the documentation, but in the process of being finished or raised; many others were still in their beginnings."

"We are also working on the adapted premises, which are state spaces, such as offices, that we modified for housing; we already have six in the completion stage, for the health sector, located in the district of Río Potrero."

Besides, there is the construction of houses of type four, which will be located mostly in agricultural localities. "They are made of wood and zinc roofs, and have been very well accepted due to their quality and good finishing; they will be located mainly in the municipalities of Jesús Menéndez, Manatí, and Amancio."

Moving forward with the Housing Program is one of the premises of this construction company, which also joins the recovery efforts from a severe local storm, in Jobabo; as well as the intense rains that hit the province last week.
