Havana, Cuba.— Lies, slander and hypocrisy are the pretext for the U.S. government to tighten the blockade. We will resist and win, Díaz-Canel wrote in his Twitter account.
"What most affects the Cuban people is the unjust, criminal and prolonged blockade; a policy that has failed and has been rejected by the international community. The empire uses lies and hypocrisy as a pretext," said the Head of State in another message, quoted by Prensa Latina news agency.
What impacts the most on the Cuban people is the unjust, criminal and long standing blockade. It"s a failed policy that is rejected by the international community. The empire is resorting to lies and hypocrisy as an excuse.#CubaVencerá #SomosCubahttps://t.co/97EJe9dUGg

The Cuban President reiterated his alert on the danger stemming from hegemony and quoted the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro when he said "Today we cannot speak of a United Nations system, what really exists today is a system of domination of almost all the countries of the world by a reduced group of powers that, under the aegis of the United States, determine all matters."
