Havana, Cuba.- According to the draw made by the World Baseball and Softball Confederation (WBSC) in the middle of its third congress that is based in Japan, the other Pool is made up by USA, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.

This contest will award a direct berth to Tokyo 2020 and two tickets for the last Olympic qualifying tournament, which will has an intercontinental status in Chinese Taipei, from April 1-5.

The best two teams of each group will advance to the Super Round, in which they will face the sides of the other pool where, after the second stage of the championship, it will be defined the order that will grant the leader the fifth ticket to Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

In addition, those finishing second and third will get tickets to the intercontinental qualifiers with seat in Chinese Taipei, which will also be attended by Holland, China, Australia and the hosts.

Cuba will debut on March 22nd against Venezuela, one day later they will face Canada and close the preliminary phase versus Colombia; the Super Round is scheduled for March 25 and 26.

In the last Pan American Games, the Caribbean island lost with two of the members of this group B: Colombia and Canada, in addition to falling again to the latter in the preliminary round of the WBSC Premier 12 Tournament.
