Havana, Cuba.- “Pastors for Peace: love for Cuba prevails. Welcome brothers, a big hug,” the president wrote on Twitter.

The caravan arrived at Havana’s “José Martí” international airport on Monday night, coming from the city of Miami.

Upon arrival, Group Director Gail Walker said that all 75 visitors from 20 U.S. states joined the 31st edition to express the feelings of most US citizens towards Cuba.

According to Walker, his fellow caravan members have a special interest in learning about Cuba’s achievements in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, amid the intensification of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade and other attacks from the US Government.

“Pastors for Peace” will carry out a program of activities until November 26, which includes meetings with scientists to learn about the vaccination process against COVID-19.

According to the agenda, the caravan members will meet on Wednesday with representatives of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba and the National Center for Sex Education. (PL)
