The construction of the Renewable Energy Development and Training Center, one of the achievements of the Renert Project and the Center for Energy Efficiency and Technological Processes Studies (CEEPROT, by its acronym in Spanish) of the University of Las Tunas, began several days ago on the Lenin campus.

Construction of the Renewable Energy Development and Training CenterLas Tunas, Cuba.- "It is being built to promote the development and use of renewable energy, providing training to all those who need it, whether they are state workers, companies, individuals, students," said Daniel Rodríguez Peña, director of CEEPROT.

"This center will be staffed by the professors of CEEPROT and collaborators from other provinces that are inserted in the project, from the universities of Oriente, Moa, Las Villas, and Cienfuegos. This will not be a demonstration center, science will be done here", said the director.

According to Rodríguez Peña, most of the resources are already in the institution and with what is still to come from the 2022 plan we should finish the building without any problems. "They started with the trenches in the last working week of last year and these days with the casting of the footing," he said.

The Renewable Energy Development and Training Center is a valuable initiative that will contribute to the scientific development not only of the university but also of the territory of Las Tunas in general.
