Lima.- In statements to Prensa Latina, the coordinator of the Peruvian Chapter of the Intellectual and Artists in defense of Mankind Network congratulated the election of Díaz-Canel as the president of the Councils of State and of Ministers.
"Cuba will always be on 26, the brand-new government headed by Díaz-Canel will continue the revolutionary process rooted in Martí's doctrine and enriched by the invaluable contribution of Fidel, Raúl, Camilo and Che," the poet noted.
Pérez Grande underlined that for our Americas, "Cuba, example of unity and heroism, will remain as a model of sovereignty and dignity before the clashes of imperialism and its allies."
According to the outstanding poet, winner of the Casa de las Américas award, "Cuba was not alone and will never be in its struggle against the U.S. blockade and in its legimate claim to recover Guantanamo Navy base."
