After six months of dealing with this pandemic, all of us from Las Tunas and Cubans have no choice but to continue to land against this virus

Not because they are repeated, there are truths and warnings that are activated by popular action. This seems to be the case with SARS CoV-2 and the one that says "in confidence is danger."

Las Tunas, Cuba.- I say this because of the irresponsibility of citizens and institutions that do not protect their own beards even in the face of the manifest vision of seeing their neighbor's beard on fire.

After 83 days without reporting cases of the new coronavirus, the infectious agent reappeared in Las Tunas, and to date, the balance is ten confirmed cases. In countless opportunities, health authorities have warned that while the virus is circulating in Cuba and the world, we must protect ourselves; however, some people underestimate the risk.

More than once I have seen several people boarding urban transport buses without wearing a mask. Fortunately, after the recent disposition of the Provincial Defense Council about the mandatory use of the mask in all public spaces, I perceive more rigor in such demand.
A similar scenario occurs in cars where almost everyone honors the measures; but, often, some passenger transgresses the established before the impassive look of the driver and other travelers.

The same happens with the existence of the first barrier at the entrance of the institutions, because even though it is located in all the facilities, in most of them nobody watches over the compliance of this preventive action, so it is up to the individual to do it or not.

In this regard, it is very common that there is no one in charge of facilitating the process and visitors are forced to touch the knobs with the chlorinated water and detergent. Those who comply with the indications are exposed to contact, in a certain way, with all those hands that, without being hygienic, have previously handled the containers just for that purpose.

The alert should also reach consumers of food in the street and especially food processors, some of whom violate the use of the mouthpiece in the preparation and sale of food. When the protocols are not respected, we expose ourselves and put the community at risk; then there are complaints and even worse consequences.

Let us observe the incorrect procedures around us and for our own and common good, let us protect ourselves!
Preventing contagion and disease should not only be the concern and action of government leaders, scientists and health personnel. Reality has shown that efforts and negligence pay off in both directions. Let us all look at each other's portraits, comply with the established measures and contribute with our efforts to this fight for the common good.

After six months of dealing with this pandemic, all of us from Las Tunas and Cubans have no choice but to continue to land against this virus that has already affected more than four thousand Cubans and stole the lives of a hundred. The order of each day must be the reduction of the number of infections and the increase of individual and collective responsibility. Take care of yourself, take care of us!
