It is a sort of colorful and diverse kaleidoscope to try to collect part of ancient culture and its people.

In the exhibition catalog, István shares with us and insists on the idea of just an attempt, because "(...) knowing China is an approximation; it would be just a peek into the immeasurable abyss of a five-thousand-year-old culture that makes our Latin American culture seem like a snap of the fingers.”

Choosing the 15 images to represent customs, faces, and landscapes, seems difficult: "I left the printing of the snapshots for the end, says István, for more accurate selection; as well as to include the marked differences of the seasons of the year. These are just a few of the many images I took.”

Photo exhibition by journalist István OjedaFrom artistic performances to moments of meditation, postures, and daily relaxation, the dazzled photographer involves us in this feeling, part of the captured moments. The experience allowed the journalist to publish several of his photos on the Spanish-language website of the Diario del Pueblo (People's Daily), the Chinese leading newspaper, besides the Namd Dang magazine, published in Argentina, whose director participated in the exchange program.

The author's invitation to enjoy this collection of colors and beauty is summarized as "these images are then only glimpses of that mystery enclosed in this way of life that prioritizes the collective good, the family, and the State, which faces the challenge of preserving those foundational values in the face of the individualistic and alienating pragmatism of the West."
