La Colmenita in Las Tunas.

With the tenderness and professionalism that characterize it, La Colmenita de Cuba arrived in Las Tunas this Wednesday as part of a national tour celebrating its 35th anniversary. The Leonardo Mackenzie Grant Sports Hall hosted the performance of "Goldilocks, the Three Bears, and the Prodigious Decade."

Tim Cremata, leader of "La Colmenita."“This Company is the meaning of my life. What we don't lack is the energy or dedication to the highest calling of service. We like to reach the provinces, neighborhoods, communities… The most beautiful people in existence live outside of Havana. The more intricate, vulnerable, or humble the place, the better the human beings; those who teach us values, the most loving… the real people,” Tim Cremata, La Comenita’s director, told 26.

Good music, Cuban humor, references to classic stories, a tribute to great Cuban musicians such as Juan Formell, leader of Van Van, and Adalberto Álvarez, audience interaction, and other elements enhanced the troupe's performance here.

The audience responded with applause, smiles, dancing, and a kind of firefly dance with cell phone lights. Governor Yelenys Tornet, Culture Director Darlenis Urquiola, and other authorities also recognized the cast, which, from various settings, both within and outside our country, highlights Cuban culture.
