Celebration for the centenary of the Petit Dancé Group

Culture, in its relentless attempt to refine our sensibilities and aesthetic taste, always has much to tell.

It is impossible to summarize everything, but there are moments that are worth remembering, and in doing so, we want to recognize all those people who, despite the shortcomings, did not lose their enthusiasm for creating.

Cucalambeana Fiesta

La Jornada Cucalambeana continued to celebrate tradition, and local artist Miguel Mariano Piñero won the Cucalambé Prize (decima) for the second time.

The Ánfora Magic Festival brought together artists from various places; Teatro Cubano de la Magia, from Camagüey, won the Grand Prize.

The Cinemazul Film Appreciation Festival was revamped and embraced the intention of resuming its national character, starting with this edition.

We joyfully celebrated the centenary of the Petit Dancé traditional dance group.

The Roots and Traditions Festival proudly defended the idiosyncrasies of the region.

Media Impact

Las Tunas hosted the National Telecenters Festival, winning for the second consecutive year.

Laureates: Eddys Crespo Vargas, Raúl Verdecie Fernández, and Jorge Carbonell López received the Artist of Merit Award. Maura Peña Machado won the Cuban Radio Microphone Award, and sound engineer William Vázquez Sosa was awarded the Technical Merit Award, while Reynaldo López Peña and Yenima Díaz Velázquez received the Raúl Gómez García Medal.

The guild mourned the death of journalist Luis Manuel Quesada Kindelán, winner of the Rosano Zamora Paadín Lifetime Achievement Award.

Bright Brushstrokes

Las Tunas participated in the 25th Havana Biennial as part of the collateral programme.

The 13th edition of the Sculpture Biennial was held in the province after several years without taking place.

Other spaces highlighted the visual arts, notably La Plástica en Abril and exhibitions organized by the Zona Creativa and BuscArte projects.

Blessed Pages

The Book and Literature Fair featured various spaces, competitions, and titles, along with the presence of relevant artists, writers, and intellectuals.

Writer Carlos Esquivel received the Pablo Armando Fernández Lifetime Achievement Award in its first edition, and other colleagues won in different fields, with the young Tomás Escobar standing out with several awards.

2025 Concert Day

Marcos Rafael García (Mason) won the First National Cuba Freestyle Festival.

The Provincial Concert Day shared beautiful sounds.

The Entre Música Festival once again brought together several talents from around the country.
