The Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) in Las Tunas makes an x-ray of their work to provide solutions and initiatives that enhance the work of the young artistic avant-garde of the territory, actions that are motivated by the 35th anniversary of the organization.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- On the way to this birthday, the membership plans to celebrate many initiatives, the president of the AHS in the province, Ana Irma Pérez Perelló, told the Cuban News Agency, while reviewing the objectives of the assemblies that stopped because of the COVID-19.

The Literature section presented an anthology of young poets to the editorial plan and at the moment they are working on the redesign of La Caja Negra (The Black Box), a promotional brochure that appeared at all events; now, in alliance with the Critics, Research and Audiovisual sections, it will have an important revitalization, she pointed out.

Pérez Perelló said that the mobile application containing the entire membership catalog is in the registration process, a tool that will promote the work of the AHS in Las Tunas and is something unprecedented in this territory to arrive at the anniversary, next October 18th.

The assembly process and section meetings halted because of the complex situation that the province is going through due to the COVID-19 surge, stood out as that space for exchange and socialization to which we aspire, by exhorting members that beyond raising the problems, they will come up with solutions and always bet on constructive criticism, she said.

In this sense, the need to use digital platforms for the sake of the development of the organization was a debate topic, a precise way to promote and commercialize music and literature, especially in times when the virtual universe appears as the main stage.

The creation of a contemporary dance company, the House of Trova, and the importance of reestablishing the agreements with different institutions for the cultural and economic development of the events were points of meeting and desire between the various sections, the young executive stressed.

However, the AHS in Las Tunas has many reasons to celebrate, as it has achieved the vitality of the main programming spaces through social media, with emphasis on the development of important events such as Portus Patris, literature; as well as Entre Música (Among Music), the Ultrasonido Radio Festival Online, and the Cucalambeana Fiesta.

Obtaining awards and recognitions in the Premios Calendario (Calendar Prizes), the contest Nuestra Memoria (Our Memory) and Habitando Espacios (Inhabiting Spaces), and also in choreography; as well, the presence of the subsidiary that was felt in all the events of the Romerías de Mayo (May Pilgrimages), in Holguín, are also joys that Las Tunas’ young artistic avant-garde celebrates.
