Las Tunas celebrates the 225 anniversary of its foundation next September.

It was expected news: the Sanlope Publishing House, from Las Tunas, today uploaded to the cyberspace "De ciudad, pues, puede ser," its first digital book, which contains texts by 33 authors -10 poets and 23 poets, from various provinces-, as a contribution to the activities for the 225th anniversary of this capital city. The title chosen is a reference from Marti.

First digital book by the Sanlope Publishing HouseLas Tunas, Cuba.- The work offers verses from three national literary awards - Ángel Augier, Pablo Armando Fernández, and Jesús Orta Ruiz (Indio Naborí) -, and members of the Union of Artist and Writers of Cuba (UNEAC), the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS), the literary workshops El Cucalambé and Guillermo Vidal, among others not affiliated with those institutions, "militants of poetry", as Carlos Tamayo Rodríguez defined, the compiler and prologue of this most recent book.

Structured in two sections, the first includes those born in the nineteenth century, with Juan Cristóbal Nápoles Fajardo, El Cucalambé (1829-1861), in the first line for being the most relevant of that century; the second brings those from the XX, which closes with the youngest, Irisandra Figueredo Riva (1994).

The volume is enriched by 16 oil paintings on canvas by Jesús Vega Faura and Alejandro Faura Betancourt, digitized by Junior Fernández Guerra, and an equal number of photographs by Reynaldo López Peña, photojournalist for the 26 newspaper, images that show the city in different moments of its history. The cover includes a logo of the campaign for the 225 anniversary, conceived by Jorge Smith Miranda. Without a doubt, it is an art book.

The team in charge of the production is also made up of Andrés Borrero Ricardo, director of Sanlope and editor of the volume; Argel Fernández Granado, editor; Andrés Sao Téllez, design and composition; Águeda Elizabeth Pérez García and Liset Leyva Llorente, digitization of texts.
