
To improve comfort at the Doctor Ernesto Guevara de la Serna General Teaching Hospital, a series of construction projects is underway, ranging from the renovation of hospital rooms to painting and beautification.
Las Tunas, Cuba.- Marianela Zapata Romero, general director of the largest health institution in the province, told our media outlet, "We are engaged in repair and maintenance work in our burn unit, a provincial service that provides care to both children and adults.
“We are also carrying out construction work in the emergency department, working on the extension, completing the emergency intensive care unit, the multi-trauma patient management room, and an acute chest pain unit for the management of cardiovascular diseases, which are currently one of the leading causes of care and death in the province, the country, and the world.”
Investments in the infrastructure of these services at the Guevara Hospital, as well as the first floor, the central corridor, the diagnostic media room, the clinical laboratory, and the immunology and microbiology laboratories, are intended to provide quality medical care during hospitalization.
