of owners of productive animals.

The systematic accompaniment of the provincial branch of the Cuban Association of Animal Production (ACPA) to all the processes related to cattle raising is an example of the commitment of this non-governmental organization to increase the production of milk, meat, honey, and eggs.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- This was reflected in the Provincial Assembly for the Renewal and/or Ratification of Mandate of the Las Tunas branch, in which the participants recounted their experiences in the use of private, state, or usufruct lands to increase cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, poultry, and rabbits, mainly.

Among those present, the criterion was repeated several times that it is possible to produce more despite the limited resources and the inclement climate. It is enough to develop initiatives to solve these problems, hand in hand with science, constant improvement, and technological innovation.

Lissete Fernández Páramo, ACPA's national president, added her voice to these opinions, mentioning several examples of the producers, who have enabled the organization to achieve the five strategic objectives for the country.

She recognized the outstanding work in the territory and urged to strengthen food sovereignty through the insertion of local development projects, the sowing of food for animals, and the advantages of the 63 measures approved to boost agricultural production.

Those attending the meeting exercised their right to vote and ratified Yanelys Garcés Franco as the president of the provincial branch, who coordinates the individual and collective management of 1,176 members, associated with 114 base bodies.

Garcés Franco said that, for the new stage of work, they have several projections, among which stand out the advice for the execution of development programs, the training of owners of productive animals and specialists, and the accompaniment to the programs of the Ministry of Agriculture.

There was s special moment for the recognition of the most outstanding; the national prize for producer women was awarded to Iraís Jiménez Almaguer; other associates were also distinguished for their excellence in production, and their commitment to the Revolution and livestock farming.
