Popular Courts' 49 anniversary was marked in Las Tunas

To celebrate the 49th anniversary of the establishment of the Popular Courts in Cuba, members of this institution from the eight municipalities met in Las Tunas, as well as authorities from the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), the Government, the National Union of Jurists, and other judicial bodies in the province.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- At the event, a group of workers was recognized for their time of service, and the National Union of Public Administration awarded the Enrique Hart Dávalos Distinction to women and men with an outstanding career during 20 or 25 years of work, respectively.

Our country experienced a complex year in terms of legislative reforms. The Court System, the highest guarantor of justice in the nation, was directly involved in this process.

To thank everyone for their efforts to keep up to date in this regard, the president of the People's Provincial Court, Misleydis Escalona Vizcaíno, expressed: "One of our main challenges was the training process, both for judges and technical and auxiliary personnel; also, our structures saw the need to adapt to this change.

"We are at a stage that forces us to remain more prepared, and this is demonstrated in each municipality where other subjects appeared that were not known to them; logically, this dynamic imposes a greater challenge for studies," she assured.

This 49th anniversary represents necessary renovations that lead to the people having a more modern judicial system, in keeping with its time, but always ensuring strict compliance with justice.
