Islazul held a workshop contest in search of better services.

Cuba bets on better hotel options. The Islazul chain, with 29 years of tourist operations in the country, has held the First 2023 Accommodation Workshop.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- In the opinion of Haymé Tejera Cortés, Director of Operations of the Islazul senior business management organization (OSDE, in Spanish), "the meeting has allowed to exchange the experiences of all the territories to raise the quality of tourist services, especially those related to the accommodation of clients in the different hotels of the nation.”

"It is a hotel group that is characterized by youth, its main treasure, as a replacement for the more experienced generations," the directive added.

Among the 116 facilities of the Cuban hotel chain and 18 branches, the province of Las Tunas was the headquarters of the competitive tourist experience, with representatives from all over the country. The conferences pondered the modalities of hotel reception and chambermaids of areas and rooms.

“Our branch has been chosen for the results we have achieved. We have representatives from all the provinces, with waitresses, receptionists, and reception managers. This training is greatly appreciated, with the support of the professionals from the Formatur School, which has served as a jury, transmitting all this wisdom in tourism to young people. We are exhibiting this result, which will be spread in hotels and branches throughout the country," Odalmis Martín Hidalgo, director of the host branch and Las Tunas Hotel, said.

Competitions and skills of contestants were used to outline reception and accommodation protocols. The Las Tunas Hotel became a space for training and learning.
