Around 400 entities are involved in the process to implement digital payments.

The various actors that make up the wide range of the state sector in Las Tunas are working to guarantee the payment of salaries using direct debit payrolls, a transformation that converges in around 400 entities in the eight municipalities of the province.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- As a protagonist of economic development in the territory, tourism stands out among those that already have one hundred percent of their human capital entrenched in these practices, a reality that positions them at the forefront of digital literacy.

The Las Tunas and Cadillac hotels, both part of the Islazul chain and the main accommodation facilities in the city, not only enable financial transactions for the purchase and sale of products and the payment of services through the Enzona and Transfermóvil gateways but also lead strategies in the use of mobile banking.

Other services such as the sale of online tickets, training, and the provision of tax accounts to associated private enterprises, have been part of the sector's vortex for several years.

The state sector's commerce lags even further behind in the diligence of electronic facilities, as only around 1,500 workers receive their salaries digitally, in line with the restricted coverage of ATMs, as there are only 14 of these machines in the entire geography of Las Tunas.

The education sector is also far from the objectives required by the current economic system due to the location of a good part of the schools in rural areas, a reality that is solved with the implementation of the extra cashier service in warehouses and cafeterias.

The payment of salaries using electronic channels is one of the provisions of the process of bankarisation in the economic operations of state entities in Las Tunas, a transformation that allows monthly income to be obtained through magnetic cards.
