Celebration event for the PNR 65th anniversary.

The systematic effort to guarantee citizen tranquility of the residents in the province of Las Tunas marks the daily work of the members of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR), an organization that is celebrating its 65th anniversary.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- During the celebration of the new anniversary, the work of those who stood out during 2023 in the confrontation with crime and illegalities, and in the fulfillment of their missions in the protection of personal and state assets was recognized.

At the event, the integral units in their contributions to the defense of the Revolution and the security of the people were distinguished, among which the PNR stations of Amancio and Manatí, and the provincial patrol detachment stand out.

The Provincial Transit Unit, the control point, and the Surveillance and Patrol Unit, as well as the Provincial Command Post of the institution, also deserved this recognition.

In addition, the Second Class Medal for Internal Order Security was awarded to the combatants Captain René Zayas Díaz, sector chief in the town of Veguitas; Captain Yogny Enrique Balbuena Pérez, criminal investigator at the Manatí station; and First Lieutenant Alexey Serrano Garrido, investigative officer at the Jesús Menéndez station.

The meeting was chaired by the member of the PCC Central Committee and its first secretary in the province, Manuel Pérez Gallego, vice-governor Ernesto Luis Cruz Reyes, and First Colonel Lázaro Davis Sánchez, head of the Ministry of the Interior in Las Tunas.
