The desire to delve into the community, through support, and the desire to preserve the best essences of Las Tunas, emerged at the Provincial Awards Ceremony for the 65th anniversary of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC).
Las Tunas, Cuba.- The solemn tribute to the Historic Leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, on his 99th birthday, became a prelude to awarding the 23 de Agosto Distinction to women and men whose meritorious work within the female organization or in different spheres of society lends prestige to the FMC's imprint today.
During the event, the encouragement was extended to those responsible for complex blocks in the different municipalities of Las Tunas, those whose work with children or the elderly has emerged as a beacon of inclusion, and to the bravest women who, with gray hair, defend five decades of uniting the female universe.

Faces of housewives, prosecutors, educators, and others showed empathy in addressing the most pressing demands of communities in a context marked by the economic crisis. The distinction was a nod of gratitude for their experience, dedication, and commitment to continue indicating a path that can only be built through collective heart and support.
On the eve of a new anniversary, the FMC national secretariat recognized the cadres who have worked uninterruptedly for five, ten, and 15 years, whose perseverance also translates into the succession of an organization that has, since its inception, accompanied Cuba's transformations in every possible scenario.
