The Agroint company and the Baicart venture are representing this eastern Cuban province at the 41st Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2025), the region's main trade fair, held from November 24 to 29.
Las Tunas, Cuba.– In the exhibition areas, Agroint is showcasing its most established export products, such as charcoal, and promoting other goods, including the Havana chili pepper, charcoal briquettes, and the natural biofertilizer Ecomic, produced at the Calixto Sarduy Arcia Credit and Services Cooperative in the community of Becerra.
Established as the province's first import-export company, Agroint has acquired a broad portfolio of clients from foreign companies in Europe, Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean. At the Fair, the organization also aims to facilitate the introduction of cutting-edge technologies that will directly impact the province's socioeconomic and productive activities.
Meanwhile, the local business Baicart, under the direction of Baire Cartaya, is presenting its line of educational children's toys, designed to support young children's cognitive development.
"The experience of being at these fairs is positive, fundamental, from the point of view of knowledge, contacts... It's gratifying," Cartaya told the press from pavilion number two at FIHAV 2025. He added that "Being able to share with institutions, companies, and SMEs always provides lessons that help you grow professionally."
The province's stand at the trade fair brings together various entities, demonstrating its productive potential. Along with Agroint and Baicart, established companies such as Abascal and IntalSUR from the food sector, the provincial branch of the Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets, and the Avalon woodworking entrepreneurial initiative are also part of the delegation. The coordinated participation of these companies and projects with the Provincial Government demonstrates the economic diversification of Las Tunas and its search for greater spaces in the national and international market.
