Railcar 2221, based in the municipality of Colombia, is expanding its route to connect with the town of Guamo, in Granma province. This temporary measure responds to the interruption of national service on the Havana-Bayamo-Manzanillo route, affected by severe railway damage following Hurricane Melissa.
“Colombia”, Las Tunas.– The new service will operate on Wednesdays and Fridays, departing from this southern Las Tunas municipality at 5:00 a.m. and returning from the Granma destination at 2:00 p.m., Radio Victoria reported. Railcar 2221 maintains its regular weekday service on its established days.
