The four new passenger transport vehicles received by the National Buses business unit (UEB) in Las Tunas province are expected to yield significant fuel savings.

Las Tunas, Cuba.— These were acquired with funding from the Ministry of Transport's development fund; they feature 42 seats and include amenities such as mobile phone chargers, cameras, a television, and other features that enhance overall comfort.

According to the UEB director, Yosvani Cedeño Tomás, the buses upgrade the fleet serving the route between the "Balcony of Eastern Cuba" (Las Tunas) and the nation's capital, replacing others that have been in service for nearly a decade.

Noting an interesting detail given the U.S.-imposed energy blockade, he pointed out that the vehicles are highly efficient on long-distance routes, allowing the trip to Havana to be made using half the fuel consumed by those in operation.

He added that they also have low oil consumption, and spare parts are guaranteed for five years or more.

Although they have been assigned to drivers with exemplary track records and extensive experience operating Yutong buses, all passengers must take great care to ensure high-quality service for the long term.
