Sale of tickets for interprovincial passenger transportation

The sale of reservations for interprovincial state passenger transportation - by bus and railway-, which will resume as of November 1, has already begun in Las Tunas.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- As the Viajero Company announced last week, this October 25, its agency in the city of Las Tunas reopened its doors, where tickets can be purchased for any of the authorized destinations by the National Bus Company (EON) and the Railways Union. The ticket sales cycle is 30 days so that they are sold only for travel until November 30.

Marbelis Lázaro Ávila, head of the Las Tunas agency, clarified that when the client purchases a ticket for a scheduled departure at a terminal located outside the province, they must arrive by their own means at the time and place provided in the ticket. Each person, she said, can only buy four reservations for one destination and the same quantity for the return. In the case of refunds, she reported that only the full amount of reservations made after January 5 of the current year is being returned. "Passengers should do it before November 27," she said. For more information, those interested can communicate through 31-349014.

Viajando appThe Viajando application for mobile phones also came into service this Monday, which makes it possible to reserve the available capacities online.

Both, people who came to the doors of the Viajero agency in the Capital of Cuban Sculpture and the opinions on social networks showed the high demand for tickets. Thus, the capacities for the first days of November were quickly exhausted; and there were congestion and problems in accessing the Viajando app. In this regard, its operators urged those interested to continue trying.

“The app is enabled and tickets are being sold. The connection error with the server that is happening to some users is due to the inability of their mobile to connect. This issue is influenced by the high traffic on the network in your area and its saturation, and the connectivity capabilities of your mobile phone,” they expressed.

According to the information from the Viajero Company, seven destinations will resume from and to the Balcón del Oriente Cubano (Cuban Eastern Balcony) on the first of November, which include two departures to Santiago de Cuba, Holguín, and Camagüey, respectively; and one to Havana. By rail, Las Tunas has reservations assigned to the capital of the country on trains that leave for that destination from Holguín, Santiago de Cuba, and Guantánamo. But, from the Cuban capital, it only has assigned reservations on the Havana-Guantánamo train.
