The Provincial Committee of the Cuban Workers’ Federation (CTC, by its Spanish acronym) in Las Tunas held an extraordinary plenary session to release Leobanys Ávila Góngora, who was serving as its secretary-general, and who was promoted to a professional member of the National Secretariat.

Odalis BatistaLas Tunas, Cuba.- To occupy this position, they unanimously agreed to promote Odalis Batista Pérez, taking into account her relevant trajectory in favor of the working class.

At the meeting, chaired by Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, a member of the Political Bureau of the Cuban Communist Party (PCC) and secretary-general of the CTC National Secretariat, the exceptional performance of Ávila Góngora was highlighted; as well as the contributions and remarkable results of the new secretary-general during her transit through different leadership structures, her commitment, and the constancy with which she served as a member of the Secretariat in the territory were recognized.
