Nicaraguan police reported the seizure in the capital of more than one kilogram of cocaine, valued at more than 35,900 dollars.

Managua.- According to Major Commissioner César Cuadra, second chief of the Public Relations Directorate of the police institution, the drug seizure was made in a house in the Villa Sol neighborhood of Managua.

The information specified that the captured person, whose name is Jessy Francisco Otero, has a criminal and drug trafficking record.

The commissioner detailed that an illegal pistol, a Hyundai van, and drug money were also seized from the detainee.

According to the information released by the police, the presence of nitrated products was found in the weapon due to the chemical and ballistic analysis performed, which was positive for cocaine.

The experts applied the Scintrex Trace technique (cocaine particle detector) on the money, vehicle, clothing, back and palms of the imprisoned criminal, with positive results for cocaine particles”, Cuadra said.
