Lack of flour causes troubles in bread ellaboration

The irregularities in the flour coverage caused the non-availability of the bread destined to the basic regulated basket with which the 84 bakeries in the province of Las Tunas woke up this morning.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- This was explained to the local radio station by Alberto Fonseca Rodríguez, director of the Integral Company of the Food Industry, and assured that this situation could be repeated in the coming days.

“In the early hours of the morning, 30 tons of flour arrived from Havana and at the time of writing these lines, the dispatch and distribution of the product to all the territory's municipalities were finalized.

“The province is giving the highest priority to this matter, but it is necessary to arrange a series of processes such as weighing, its distribution, and transfer, besides making the bread.

"In such a way that, today, it will be practically impossible that most bakeries can elaborate the product because everything takes time,” he explained.
