The Hotel Paradissus Río de Oro in the eastern Cuban province of Holguín won one of the World Travel Awards, the Melia International Resorts chain announced today.

Havana, Cuba.- A press release issued on Tuesday by the Melia Cuba delegation added that the hotel was recognized as the Leading Resort in the country.

The press release reiterated that a new edition of the famous World Travel Awards was held on August 26 in St. Lucia.

On this occasion, awards were given to the best-performing tourism entities in the Caribbean area.

There, Paradissus Hotel won the award in the category of Cuba’s Leading Resort, a fact that reaffirms the preference of travelers from all over the world for this luxurious all-inclusive resort.

With a privileged location on the shores of Esmeralda Beach -in the Bahía de Naranjo natural park-, the hotel is a five-star eco-resort, aimed at guests over 18 years old.

It offers high-level amenities in its rooms -all Suites or Junior Suites-, as well as gourmet gastronomy and wellness experiences at the YHI Spa Aguas de Oro.

The note insists that those seeking an extra touch of exclusivity can choose the Royal Service area, which combines distinction, unique facilities, and personalized attention within the hotel.

Paradisus Río de Oro is ideal for weddings, romantic stays, and trips for relaxation or quality of life.

The World Travel Awards are granted taking into account the opinions of numerous professionals, travelers, and scholars of the leisure industry. Every year, thousands of users leave their votes on the official website of these awards, which are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year, and are a prestigious endorsement for tourist facilities, activities, and destinations, they concluded.
