The opinion of the evaluation committee, which toured the territory for two days, concluded that seven of the eight municipalities have carried out a responsible work, regardless of the intense drought; and only "Colombia" was evaluated as Bad.
Despite the serious problems detected, that southern municipality preserves good examples of the time when it was awarded with the condition of National Reference; especially the medicinal plants farm, the cooperative specialized in fruit trees and the garden of Maritza.
Regarding the work carried out in agricultural communities, the Group visited most of the base units, of which 26 were rated as Good, 11 as Regular and eight as Deficient.
The National Association of Small Farmers, the Sugar Company and Education recorded the worst results, said the experts.
