Preliminary data provided by the Provincial Electoral Commission, indicate that 364,672 people exercised their right to vote in Las Tunas in Sunday's municipal elections, which represents 88.14 percent of the registered voters.
Las Tunas, Cuba.- The number of citizens who had to go to the polls in this eastern territory increased to 413,734, as a result of the inclusions by change of address among other reasons.
The National Electoral Commission decided to extend until 7:00 p.m. the opening of polling stations due to weather conditions, to facilitate the access of those who for this reason had not been able to exercise voting.
