Cuba achieves 90% anti-COVID-19 vaccination coverage

Cuban Public Health Minister José Ángel Portal on Wednesday said his country Cuba is presently rated top 10 nations with more people fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

“As part of the Cuban vaccination strategy against COVID-19, 90.7% of the Cuban people had been fully immunized,” the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology posted on Twitter.

94.8% of children have been also fully vaccinated, so these figures help Cuba to be rated among the 10 nations with over 90% vaccination coverage.

To date, as many as 10,737,002 Cuban people have received one dose of Soberana 02, Soberana Plus, and Abdala homegrown vaccines. 9,454,290 have already received a second dose, and 9,152,060 have received a third dose.

10,013,599 (90.7% of the Cuban population) people have been fully vaccinated.

According to the Public Health Ministry (MINSAP)´s official website, as many as 8,725,52 million have received booster doses. (PL)
