The members in the municipality of Manatí achieved an outstanding result this year in the functioning of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), thus they deserved to host the provincial act for the organization's 62nd anniversary.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The community of Cerro de Caisimú was the main center of the celebration, in which several neighbors and CDR zones were recognized. The 28 de Septiembre Distinction and the Medal for Neighborhood Unity were awarded to the coordinators and representatives of the Committees who excelled in carrying out the activities.

The National Vanguard Condition was granted to the municipality due to its great tradition in CDR work and the stability in the action of its base structures.

As part of the festivities, Cuba's largest mass organization received recognition from the highest authorities of the province, as well as from the Young Communist League (UJC), the Central Union of Cuban Workers (CTC), and the National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP), for more than six decades of uninterrupted work in defense of our social project.
