The center offers 16 specializations and boasts a fully staffed faculty.

The Rita Longa Pedagogical School opened its doors for the new school year, enrolling 777 students across four grade levels. The director, Yudisleydis Ruz Serrano, shared details about the new school term.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Ruz Serrano highlighted that the center offers 16 specializations and boasts a fully staffed faculty comprising 7 PhD holders, 22 professors with master's degrees, 30 with bachelor's degrees, and other members currently pursuing further professional development to achieve higher academic qualifications.

"We face a major challenge this year; we are all aware of the situation we are dealing with. Nevertheless, the faculty and the school's leadership team are totally engaged in creating the necessary conditions for our students to remain here for the entire month with access to essential basic services."

Students will stay at the school for September."We have enough water and food to supply the students for the 31 days they will be here, and we also have the teaching staff needed to cover all class shifts, which is our primary objective."

Regarding the organization of this first month, the director explained that the province has adopted "Option 3," involving decentralized student arrangements. "Our students will stay at the school for September; they will return home on October 3rd —their scheduled leave date— and then come back."

"We are working to ensure they receive the core curriculum here. There will be local hubs in every municipality, operating in conjunction with the corresponding Municipal University Centers (CUMs) and staff hired by the school to provide support and prepare the necessary programs —everything required to ensure our graduates meet the professional profile defined by our institution."

Driven by its teaching staff's commitment, the institution is dedicated to ensuring a stable school year despite the difficulties, training the educators the region needs.
