Yúnior Otero led the attack of the Lumberjacks line-up.

The Las Tunas Lumberjacks are one step away from glory again, after beating the Industriales this Thursday for the third time in a row with a comfortable score of 8-1, supported by a great offensive day of Yúnior Josué Otero and, once again, the record-breaking Keniel Ferraz.

Havana, Cuba - Aware that their team was facing a game of life and death, the blue fans answered the call and filled the Latinoamericano Park with the electrifying atmosphere of big events.

However, in this often hostile scenario, the team led by Abeysi Pantoja handled itself relatively comfortably and, after a short battle of two innings, they defined the game with a great rally of six runs in the third inning.

A two-run rocket by Yúnior Josué Otero lit the fuse and the red-green ship cast off at the so-called "Colossus of El Cerro." Singles by Dánel Castro and Yordanis Alarcón and a double by Roberto S. Baldoquín completed the Las Tunas attack against starter Jonathan Cruz and reliever Silvano Hechevarría.

The Lions, a team whose pride would not allow them to accept defeat, tried to respond immediately, but their roar barely woke them up. The timid reaction of Guillermo Carmona's roster finally ended in a single run, driven in by third batter Yosvani Peñalver.

It was enough to prompt the visitors' high command to bring in starter Ángel Sánchez. The left-hander could not hold up on the mound and will have to continue looking for his first success with the Las Tunas team in the postseason.

Beyond the controversial decision, the alternative was unbeatable. Relief pitcher Keniel Ferraz was called to the "Hill of Martyrdom" and once again solved the game without major setbacks. The 27-year-old pitcher made history by tying the record of six wins in postseason games, previously held exclusively by Yosvani Torres of Pinar del Río.

With the finals on the horizon, the Lumberjacks will play Friday in search of their second Cuban crown in the most impressive scenario in national baseball and against the only team that can boast 12 titles.
